          Who is eligible: 

          High School Seniors and Full-time Freshman

             

          For a chance to win a $1000 scholarship, email info@gotranscript.com from a University or College email address. Answer the                        following questions: 

             1. What have you learned from your experience(s)? Examples may include: community service, volunteer work, employment,                               school clubs, sports, family,etc.

             2. Describe your most meaningful achievements and how they relate to your field of study and your future goals.

             

          A 500 to 1000 word essay is also required with the topic of: Share a story about how language has helped you express your voice.

Who is Eligible:

Burger King Scholars Program and MacLamore Scholarship- December 15th
 

Who is Eligible:

Scholars' Program:
 

Have a strong academic record with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0,

Be passionate about serving the community, and

Be a high school senior, BURGER KING® employee, spouse/domestic partner or child of an employee.
 

MacLamore Scholarship:
 

Students who have a cumulative unweighted grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3,

Students who have a minimum ACT Composite score of 25 or a minimum combined SAT score of 1700,

Students who demonstrate an active leadership role in community service, athletics, and/or similar co-curricular activity (such as student government, team sports, fraternal life, etc); and,

Students who demonstrate substantial work experience.

         Marine Corps League Scholarship- Due December 15th 

           

           Who is eligible: 

           

            2.5 GPA or higher

           Student must live in St. Mary Parish 

           Student must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student to recieve the scholarship.

          Who is Eligible: 

          You are currently enrolled in a college, university, high school or trade school. The content you submit in your application must be                unique and must offer value to the reader. Creative, high-quality submissions have a higher chance of winning.

         The BadCredit.org Wealth Wise Scholarship- Due December 31st, 2018 

 

         Who is eligible: 

         Minimum GPA of 3.5

         Major of study must support a career in the finance industry (e.g., finance, business, accounting, mathematics, management, and                   other related majors)

         Must be a US resident

         Must send in an official transcript

         Must be a current or future college student (e.g., high school senior)

         Scholarship must go to tuition purposes (will be paid directly to the university/college)

         Complete an essay for submission

            

          Essay Topic:  How the US Credit Scoring System Can Be Improved. This essay will explore current issues in today’s credit                              landscape and various ways to offset the negative implications that affect many Americans’ ability to access capital.

          The essay should be 500-900 words.

          Any resources should be carefully noted and cited appropriately using the MLA format.

          Any plagiarism or fabrication will disqualify the applicant from award disbursement.

          The essay should be written in 12-point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins

          Eligibility: Students from the parishes of Vermilion, Iberia, Lafayette, Acadia, St. Landry & St. Martin are eligible to apply, as well as                students enrolled in the Diocese of Lafayette Catholic high schools.

St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce Scholarship- Due March 31st

 

Eligibilty 

 

The recipient shall be a student enrolled in an accredited high school in the St. Mary Parish area for a minimum of 4 continuous semesters upon graduation.

The recipient shall have a scholastic grade point average of 3.0 or better for his/her Junior year and the first semester of his/her Senior year in high school. The student must take the ACT test and achieve a minimum score of 20 points.
