Quit Smoking Scholarship--Due October 31, 2018 

 


Write an essay between a 1,000 and 1,500 words that provides an answer to the following questions:

  • How is smoking hurting individuals and the society as a whole?
  • Society takes a much stricter stance on a lot of less harmful substances – why is smoking still largely off the radar of most governments?
  • How can we tackle the smoking epidemic? What would be our best course of action in the fight against smoking and why do you believe it would work
  • How do you imagine a smoke-free world and how does it differ from the world we live in today?
  • If you could offer current smokers one piece of advice, what would it be

Burger King Scholars Program and MacLamore Scholarship- Not open for next school year yet 
 

Who is Eligible:

Scholars' Program:
 

Have a strong academic record with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0,

Be passionate about serving the community, and

Be a high school senior, BURGER KING® employee, spouse/domestic partner or child of an employee.
 

MacLamore Scholarship:
 

Students who have a cumulative unweighted grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3,

Students who have a minimum ACT Composite score of 25 or a minimum combined SAT score of 1700,

Students who demonstrate an active leadership role in community service, athletics, and/or similar co-curricular activity (such as student government, team sports, fraternal life, etc); and,

Students who demonstrate substantial work experience.

Big Sun Athletic Scholarship- Due June 19
 

All student athletes are eligible regardless of the sport in which they are engaged.
The student must be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute.
