It's hard to believe it has been fifty years since that historic football season of 1976. To honor this incredible achievement and the legacy you left on the field, we are officially inviting the players and coaches of the 1976 State Championship Team back to McCloskey Field for a special 50-year reunion celebration.
Please join us on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Hanson Memorial’s football game against Central Catholic. It will be a chance to reconnect, reminisce, and be recognized by our school and local community.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
● 5:00 PM (Pre-Game): Players and coaches gather in the Development Office and Main Building Hall for pre-game bites, fellowship, and community.
● 6:20 PM (Grotto + Alumni Walk): Join our current Tigers in prayer at the Grotto, then help us send them off to the field for our Alumni Walk.
● 6:30 PM (Presentation + Coin Flip): Be recognized at the start of our game along the 20-yard line, while honorary captains participate in the coin toss. Please remain there throughout the prayer and the National Anthem.
During the game, you are invited to reconvene at the tent in the end zone by the bell for food, drinks, and fellowship. This will be your area to watch the game and catch up. A formal 50-year anniversary team photo will be taken during the event (post presentation).
