We want a Catholic education at Hanson and St. John to be within reach for every family who seeks it. Families can combine more than one way to pay. Here's what it costs and the ways to bring that cost down. If you're coming from a public school and wondering whether this is possible for your family, call us and we'll walk through every option with you.

2026–27 Tuition

 Hanson (6–12)St. John (PK4–5)
1st student$6,684 ($557/mo)$6,444 ($537/mo)
2nd student$6,067 ($505.58/mo)$5,827 ($485.58/mo)
3rd student$5,563 ($463.58/mo)$5,323 ($443.58/mo)
4th student$5,275 ($439.58/mo)$5,035 ($419.58/mo)

Tuition is spread across 12 monthly payments, July through June, with no interest. It includes each student's curriculum fee and the technology fee. Sibling rates apply across Hanson and St. John: start with your oldest student in the "1st student" row and add the next row for each additional child, at either school.

2027–28 tuition will be posted here once it is set. For Early Learning Center pricing, please call us.

Other costs to plan for

  • Registration: $200 per student, due at registration
  • FACTS payment plan: $60 per family per year
  • Family Participation: 20 volunteer hours a year, or $1,000 in place of hours. We'd always rather have your time than your money, and every family can meet this entirely through volunteering.
  • Annual Raffle: $300 in tickets to sell at the start of the year
  • Testing, class dues, and athletics fees vary by grade. See the New Student Registration Guide.

Ways families pay less

  1. LA GATOR Scholarship. Louisiana's education savings account can be used toward Hanson tuition, and eligibility has expanded each year. The application window is short, only about two weeks in March, and earlier applications get priority.
  2. Parish Tuition Assistance Fund. Need-based help from our parish, applied for through FACTS. The deadline is typically in mid-April, and we'll announce the exact date each spring.
  3. ACE and ARETE Scholarships. Private scholarships for new students. See our Scholarship Opportunities page.
  4. Free or reduced lunch. Apply through the Diocese of Lafayette at fns-dol.org. You need to reapply each year.

Your timeline for 2027–28

  • January–February: Gather your LA GATOR documents.
  • March: Apply for LA GATOR the day the window opens.
